Review of The Ten Commandments (1956) by Victor L — 07 Jan 2011
:fresh: THE TEN COMMANDMENTS is a unique spectacle, it was a great production with amazing stages, costumes and visual effects. Edward G. Robinson performance as Dathan was the best of the film, anyway the whole cast acted well.
The screenplay is the only thing of the picture that had its high and low moments of great narrative and then corny or preposterous dialogs although I think that fact doesn't decrease the masterpiece.
Good for Cecil B. DeMille who remade his silent film and turned it into something more memorable..
