Review of The Sword in the Stone (1963) by Alex S — 07 Mar 2014

Despite what the title says, this movie has nothing to do with a sword in a stone. The beginning starts with a one minute summary of what the sword in the stone means and then the movie never talks about it again until the last five minutes.

The movie is about some kid who travels around with a wizard. I was constantly waiting for something to come up related to the title, but nothing ever did until the final few minutes. The animation is typical and nothing too impressive and the only things that save this movie are interesting sequences of magic and relatively fun characters.
