Review of The Sword in the Stone (1963) by Ernest C — 19 Jun 2016
I haven't seen this since I was probably my son's age and I remembered it really fondly...I was wrong. The pace is practically glacial...my word get on with it! The central story of Arthur and the sword is bizarrely ignored as well except for a book-ended couple of minutes.
The remainder of the film is wacky Merlin changing him and Arthur into various animals, with oh so funny consequences. I was bored beyond belief and despite Felix saying it was 'good' I think he waas trying to spare my childhood memories.
