Review of The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) by Purplejaed — 11 Apr 2023

This is definitely one of my favorite movies. The animation and story is great, and the vast majority of the voice actors are perfect. We all though Chris Pratt would fail us miserably, but he really pulled it together in the end.

My only complaint is that it felt rushed, like they wanted it to be 1:30 hours and sacrificed some story elements for that. If it was made 2:00 or even 2:30 it probably would have been better. Also the fact that pop song are used in 4(?) locations instead of better songs written specifically for those scenes is a bit disappointing.
