Review of The Spy Who Came In from the Cold (1965) by David J — 02 Jan 2009
Totally great cold war era spy flick. The film unfolds in an impossibly sparse, calculated, and maddeningly complex way until the viewer is completely engulfed in a Kafkaesque world of truth, half truth, lie and half lies perpetrated by both the "good guys" and the 'bad guys" until the film transcends any allegiance to any political views or ideologies (but especially communism it seems) and leaves the viewer with his or her jaw on the floor from all the mind games, the great score, the solid acting and the beautiful and breath taking photography!
