Paranoia and hopelessness has never been so eloquently portrayed in this "anti-spy" movie. Forget Q's gadgets and Bond getting laid in exotic locales. Rather, you'll get a clean, heartless portrayal of how espionage is really carried out.
..by draining every ounce of humanity out of your soul and becoming a government's automaton. Burton is in top form. I wouldn't be surprised if this film is required viewing by trainees at the CIA and MI-5.
..to weed out any clowns who think intelligence gathering bears any resemblance to the Bond flicks.
