Review of The Shrine (2010) by Ryan B — 03 Jun 2014
Alright so I have watched The Shrine, it's really not that special of a movie, in fact I wouldn't have taken a second look at if it weren't in my recommended section of Netflix. This movie didn't have much going for it besides the ugly faces (if you've seen it, you know what I mean).
It's considered a horror movie pretty much of the images of the demon faces you see and possibly the swearing other than that it's a PG-13 film. The acting is far from average, far below average to be exact.
They did show potential however, it could've been better but what they did was a bit dreadful to listen to at times. The story isn't much better. A couple of reporters and what seems like one of their ex boyfriends travel to a remote cult kind of village to investigate the disappearance of another reporter only to find out they've walked into something way over their heads.
That's all there really is to it. In a way I kind of wish I didn't see it but then it wasn't that bad either. I would say recommended but it's really not worth watching so, Unrecommended.
