Review of The Searchers (1956) by Erik O — 04 Feb 2009
This was my first John Wayne film... and I'm pretty impressed. It's got a decent amount of humor mixed into the overall storyline, that never fails to keep things entertaining. I don't know enough about Westerns to write about whether or not it stacks up as a genre film.
.. but, as a plain and simple movie, it's definitely worth a watch. Highly entertaining.
