Arguably one of the best pirate movies ever made. Iconic Flynn swashbuckling, sprawling ship-to-ship attacks and great miniature work (for the period). Marshall tears up in gorgeous costumes, Rains arches his eyebrows and Alan Hale laughs heartily.
If you've seen a pirate movie made after 1940, chances are it's lifting from this one!
