Extraordinary great set pieces and directed with great skill. Just watch the sword dueling scenes at the end with the shadows and the lighting. It is amazingly innovative for it`s day and gives the viewer a fast paced adventure.
Errol Flynn as Geoffrey Thorpe gives alight but believable performance as a sea hawk captain.
