Review of The Sacrifice (1986) by Wut S — 04 Jun 2008
The Sacrifice, the seventh and also the final feature film by Andrei Tarkovsky, conveys the director's deeply personal statement about humanity's self-destruction. This is, quite frankly, one of the most moving films I have ever seen.
The Sacrifice is Tarkovsky's final gift, a symbolic call to spiritual awakening, for the future generations.
