Review of The Sacrifice (1986) by Peter F — 16 Oct 2014
Thought the narrative is littered with confusion and the film can be interpreted a few different ways, the imagery and prescient themes make Tarkovsky's last film glorious. I was also surprised just how tense the film got when the news of WWIII broke out.
It is also at this point that the film becomes very dreamlike. A beautiful, haunting parable that could only come from the master Tarkovsky.
