Review of The Sacrifice (1986) by Pavandeep S — 25 Feb 2009
This film feels heavily like listening to a story while having a chocolate. It is so wonderfully culminating in its emotions, very destructive in its entirety and feels heavily indebted to certain old traditions, especially those having to do with the family.
It was stunning to see a man go so far and to see this immense concept of sacrifice played out in this almost real portrayal of destructive zeal. The polarities of madness and normalcy are wonderfully portrayed here, offering a large array of thoughts on the subject too in its manifold perplexities and views.
In fact, that was my favourite part of this film.
