Review of The Reckless Moment (1949) by Scott R — 21 May 2015
Not perfect but pretty near close! THE RECKLESS MOMENT is so damn hard to see but then comes TCM to save the day again. Suburban mom Joan Bennett protects her slutty daughter from the world covering a murder in the process and getting involved with gangsters.
James Mason nearly ruins it all but Max Ophuls constant camera movement adds to the frantic life of this woman. Even without the murder, how can she survive?
