Review of The Quiet Man (1952) by Riccardo P — 16 Nov 2007
If I am not greatly mistaken John Ford has won more oscar for the best director than anybody else. I think that the quiet man with stagecoach and the man who shot liberty valance is Ford's best movie.
the plot is credible, the dialogue is good, the scenary is beautiful, John wayne never acted better than this (with the possible exception of the searchers) and there's a lot of chemistry between Duke and maureen o'hara.
must see.
