Review of The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985) by Darrell H — 24 Oct 2008
One ofthe great movie moments is when Jeff Daniels does a double-take on the screen and notices Mia Farrow, then starts talking to her. Whimsical fantasy that may or may not have a lot to say about our relationship to the big screen, but this film is certainly more creative and amusing than most of Allen's recent fare.
