Review of The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985) by Pedro L — 15 Jan 2007
The best part is the interaction between the screen characters and the world outside the movie theatre. Their aggravation and cluelessness about how to function without the script is hilarious. The ending was a downer to me though, it left me unsatisfied.
Not that I don't mind unhappy endings, but this one left me short, too abrupt. Worth a rent nontheless.
