Review of The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985) by Matthew F. J — 18 Nov 2014
The Purple rose of Cairo is a typically Allen film with tormented characters and incredibly well written dialogues. It's a film that stretch the boundaries between fiction and reality, offering the viewer a unique experience and the opportunity to question such boundaries.
It's beautifully shot, greatly acted and well written. A strong opus in the long and productive Career of Allen.
