Review of It's Complicated (2009) by Ginat — 30 May 2010
This is the most absurdly vacuous and unfunny comedy I've seen in decades -- a ridiculous, irritating, unrealistic piece of fluff fantasy for middle-aged women. I couldn't believe that Meryl Streep would participate.
I've always loved her but by the end of the film, I was so annoyed by the near-continous tinkle of her laughter -- before and after her every line, it seems -- that I started to hate her. Don't see it, don't rent it, don't order it on Instant Play or Netflix, don't look at the movie posters.
It sucks like few films have ever sucked before.
