Review of The Public Enemy (1931) by Josh M — 16 Jan 2009
Very influential and entertaining ?gangster film?. What probably separates this from most movies that tried to copy it is the great character development. Starting from childhood you could see the path these guys were going down and you eventually get to see where that path leads.
Also, you have to like a movie that has something called ?the grapefruit scene?.
