Review of The Pink Panther (1963) by Marietta K — 15 Jan 2012
The amazing thing about this movie is that Clouseau was supposed to be a supporting part, the comic relief, whereas the main character was Lytton. And yet Sellers manages to keep all attention on him.
What's more, in this movie he's genuinely hilarious! Having seen this (and A shot in the dark, which I also loved) makes it hard for me to watch the rest of the series, they're so disappointing. The 3-star-ratings I gave them are entirely because of Sellers.
