Review of The Piano Teacher (2001) by Víctor O — 26 Feb 2008
Isabelle Huppert is terrific, the story is wonderfully told, and it's maybe the most accurate on-screen depiction of a music conservatory that I've ever seen. However, the subject matter of the film is so controversial and disturbing that I could barely watch it, and I felt nauseated by a few scenes.
Besides that, it's superb.
