Review of The Piano Teacher (2001) by Amjad A — 15 Jul 2013

I really enjoy international cinema, and this is a very famous film, well known and respected. The performances are brilliant, the storytelling is brilliant and the themes and issues attacked in the film are raw and provocative. It was shot perfectly, and acting is just impeccable as I stated before.

It's an overall great film, but some of the imagery was full on. Many clips and flashes at pornography which essentially were put in the film to enhance artistic integrity, yet those scenes weren't really needed in my opinion. I advice this film highly though. It deserves to be viewed by people who appreciate cinema.
