Review of The Pianist (2002) by Jim D — 13 Apr 2011
I remember this being really good but I have to say I found it pretty dull this time round. Whilst you can imagine the essence of the true story working well as a novel, as a film it pretty much boils down to Anne Frank plays the piano.
Brody hides in various flats and then meets a friendly neighbourhood Nazi at the end. The whole film thinks it's so bloody worthy as well...yawn.
