Review of The Pianist (2002) by Diego B — 16 Aug 2018
This movie is not only one of my new favorite movies in history of cinema, but also, I believe its a piece of art. Its fantastically well acted and watching it makes you go back in time and live the story as If you where in it.
Adrien Brody, as well as captain Wilm, Thomas kretschmann and Emilia Fox make it so real that every expression, word and action they make, also make you feel the same way. It's a whole whirlwind of feelings and emotions along the film. And in the end it gives a pretty clear message of how It was living during the second world war. At least from the point of view the main characters.
Special effects also make a sublime part of this movie, for the scenery and props wrap you up and do not give you a second to see the time or if you left something in the stove. Its flawless and I would watch it over and over to understand that time even more.
Last but not least, THE MUSIC, the magnificent and brilliant compositions used in this film make the movie even greater that its supposed to be, listening to the piano played by this famous character will make you cry of bliss and sorrow in different moments, so you will want to keep hearing it for the longest time possible...
So... unbelievable storyline, flawless acting, immaculate scenery and special effects and exquisite music, make the best combination of components of a MUST WATCH movie, no matter how old you are or what year it is.
