"The Pianist" remains one of my favorite movies, partly because of Adrien Brody's admirable performance and engrossing story. It literally sticks you to the screen from the first minute to the last, without feeling boring or manipulative. It's a first-class feature with marvelous cinematography, excellent camerawork and an outstanding direction from Roman Polanski.
