A brutal experience with a remarkable performance by Adrien Brody and a brilliant, stylish direction from Roman Polanski, The Pianist is crude, terrorific, and sometimes painful to watch and that is exactly what was The Holocaust, this is an evidence that sometimes an action is more frightening at the remoteness.
