Review of The Phantom of the Opera (2004) by John C — 01 Mar 2012
Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera certainly didn't deserve all the crap it got on the big screen. The sets were pretty, the effects were nicely done, and this is the best representaion of Webber's music to date.
If only the distortion was less lame. Then maybe this film could recieve my highest rating. But as it stands there is still some flaws in the singing, the direction, and the god awful lip-syncing makes it a somewhat off kilter experience.
A mild recommend.
