Review of The Ox-Bow Incident (1943) by Sv G — 28 Feb 2007
This is a very forward thinking movie for it's time and unusual western about a mob mentality bent on revenge, and justifying its actions only on rumors and appearances. Henry Fonda brilliantly plays a young man who, though not so articulate, is deeply troubled by what he sees going on around him.
Hard to believe this was made in the 1940s. Very brave & compelling. Based on a true story.
