Review of The Ox-Bow Incident (1943) by Leighton T — 11 Mar 2012
A stunning morality piece. It's power lies in the intimacy with which the film is shot. Close-ups abound, bringing up frighteningly close with each character. This makes for a wonderful character study amidst the mob mentality story-line.
Henry Fonda, as always is a wonderful presence, but it's the simple management of the tight visuals along with a sharp script that make it a great film.
