Review of The Ox-Bow Incident (1943) by Byron B — 19 Jun 2008
A great film if a touch melodramatic in places. I always find Henry Fonda mesmerising but it is Dana Andrews who excels here. Unusual in that only a handfull of locations are used, and the night scenes are particularly good.
Interesting choice to chronicle mob mentality and capital punishment. I am also very fond of the title of this movie for some reason.....
