Review of The Osterman Weekend (1983) by Jerard W — 14 Oct 2008
Well not his best work, certainly a strong finish to a storied career for director Sam Peckinpah. A tense story about trust, betryal, revenge all laced with criticism of the Cold War CIA and media, Peckinpah starts slow and builds to a tense game of cat-and-mouse marked with his trademark bursts of sudden violence.
One of the best thrillers out there.
