Review of The Omen (1976) by Hannah D — 24 Nov 2010
From the moment that the nanny hung herself right at the beginning, I knew that the next couple of hours were going to be extremely uncomfortable viewing. By the end of the film I was crying at the horror unfolding.
I couldn't bear to watch when Gregory Peck's character went in Damian's room with a pair of scissors. I thought he was going to kill him! As I feared, I didn't sleep all that brilliantly, but it was all worth it, because even though the horror takes your breath away at times, I feel enriched for having watched it.
