Probably the greatest horror film of all time; although it's not as artistic as Wise's The Haunting or Polanski's Rosemary's Baby, it's several levels higher on the scare scale. When this film hit the theaters, everyone I knew slept with the lights on for weeks afterward-not exaggerating.
