Review of The Night of the Iguana (1964) by Padraig W — 07 Oct 2009
Brilliant film based, more than less, on the Tennessee Williams play. Burton, Kerr and Gardner all give inspired performances. Ava's most noticeable north carolina girl role I have seen so far. Deep psychological currents.
Grayson Hall recieved the academy award for best supporting actress for her role. I just want to watch over again after my first viewing. Art amongst the highest order in my book. There is a statue of director John Huston in Puerto Vallarta today to honour him for putting their locale on the map largely due to this movie.
