Shane Black proves once again that he is a master at balancing gut-busting humor and thrills. He presents us with the pairing of Crowe and Gosling, something we didn't know we needed until we had it.
The two actors are great together and have such an easy and immediate chemistry that their pairing could support a new Lethal-Weapon-style franchise, if only the film had actually made money.
