Review of The Name of the Rose (1986) by Johanna A — 10 Dec 2007
A detective story in this medieval monastery with dark secrets, Connery as charismatic as always. What I remember best from this film are the extreme faces of the monks, like charicatures. A bit frightening, a suggestive athmosphere makes you almost feel the smell of fear, darkness, blood and dirt in this enigmatic environment.
