Review of The Name of the Rose (1986) by Philippe J — 21 Jul 2008
An amazing adaptation of the erudite work of Umberto Eco. It manages to distill it into something that has got action, love, violence, a clever whoddunit plot, all this on a backgruond of politically charged religious intrigue, without ever getting boring or too complex to follow.
