Review of The Naked City (1948) by Diandra R — 25 Aug 2008
Slightly dated, but innovative for the time. Dassin works best when treally allowed to exploit the New York City location setting. The actors playing Muldoon and Halloran have a nice, gentle rapport. The movie is somewhat uneven, but still gets you involved.
The way the connections between people and place are presented is really cool.
