Review of The Musketeer (2001) by Roberthoward — 05 Mar 2022
The Musketeer fulfils the minimum requirements in most departments, but is all throughout uneven: Witty lines are followed by stuff that feels like it was copy-pasted from a template script; good fight scenes are made less impressive by editing and too dark a setting; a decent cast is limited by a script that lacks depth or character development.
Still, it remains watchable and at times even entertaining.
