Review of Esther (1999) by Alexandra W — 28 Aug 2010
Whoever made this did not know what the interesting parts of this story are. The result is a stodgy and slow telling of a story that could have been melodrama-ville. The actors were up for it. Especially the guy who plays the king.
Wow, he wanted this movie to be much more dramatic than it was. And Detective Sofia Curtis, as always, looks great crying. Alas, I ended up sticking through till the end to see the costumes.
