Review of The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984) by Curtis H — 12 Feb 2009
The last Muppet Movie that Jim Henson oversaw, and its absolutely wonderful. The humor is wonderful as always and some cameo moments (Dabney Coleman, Gregory Hines, Joan Rivers, and James Coco in particular) really make it fantastic.
The Muppet babies were created by this film, and as a solid culmination of Henson's muppet history, Sesame St. shows up at the end, Kermit and Piggy get married, and the gang lives happily ever after.
