"Would you like something from the Grill, Jill?

I came across this on tv having never seen this before and liking 'The Muppets' it as no brainer to watch it. There's nothing out of the ordinary here its a similar setup to other muppet movies and it doesn't try anything wacky.

This is obviously not a bad thing the Muppets had been around for many many years before 'Made in Manhattan' was filmed. Not messing with the formula is a sure-fire way to get success. So its hardly a surprise that 'The Muppets Take Manhattan' is a good film.

The title is essentially a good description of the film, Kermit and the gang decide that they want to go to Manhattan to try and get their theatre production on broadway. I hate musical but i've always liked the Muppets maybe its because they're not people so I don't find it hard believe they'd randomly break into song.

There's a fair bit of humour and the live-action actors might be a bit dodgy but its to be expect from the Muppets. The musical numbers are pretty well spread out there's bogging down with them it helps to break up the occasional monotonous scene. My personal favourite bit is when Kermit loses his memory (I know typical amnesia.) and meets Jill, Gill and Bill and they name him yup that right Phil. I know a bit cheesy but the play-off from each other is great.

'The Muppets Made in Manhattan' showcases enough laughs and just about enough plot to make a great film that still stands up today.
