Review of The Mummy (1959) by Ryan S — 29 Oct 2008
Though not as dull as the original Mummy (starring Karloff as the actual mummy) this is still a film that could have used a lot more excitement. Understandably enough, Christopher Lee as the mummy is the aspect of the film, playing the ancient creature as a more aggressive, hard-core mummy than the usual slow-moving, bland one.
It has its moments, but the film certainly could have moved along at a more brisk pace.
