Review of The Man Who Wasn't There (2001) by Raphael R — 18 May 2008
I wanted to see this because of the Coen brothers without really knowing anything about this movie going into it. The black and white imagery makes it really feel like this movie was set a long time ago.
There are only a few modern movies that I can name that are in black and white and this one actually makes sense to be this way. Unfortunately the movie is very slow paced and I just kept waiting for something more to happen.
The acting was good but that can only do so much if it isn't told in an interesting manner.
