Review of The Man Who Wasn't There (2001) by Keith W — 21 Jan 2009
The black & white photography is beautiful, but that is about all I enjoyed about this movie. Ed Crane (Billy Bob Thorton) was an asexual bore of a protagonist, I couldn't empathize with his situation at all. After the first hour I lost any interest in the story and mostly felt bored. Well, Tony Shalhoub was pretty entertaining as the sleazeball lawyer.
"The Man Who Wasn't There" isn't an outright bad movie. It just isn't very interesting.
