Review of The Man Who Laughs (1928) by Tans D — 27 Jul 2009
What a disappointment. This movie was caught in between a couple different genres and got somewhat confusing. I just wish it would have been a full on Horror film; I think it would have been a much better movie that way.
The costumes and sets were all lavish and nice, but it almost seemed like a costume drama to me. More style and story than substance. There were a few scenes in which I absolutely loved and the last 20 minutes was fantastic, but other than that I found it to be pretty boring.
