Wow. Doris Day was not only a singer, she could act too, and I should admit she is great in this Hitchcock's masterpiece. I am overwhelmed of the episode at the Albert Hall. James Stewart gives smart and definite performance as well. It turn to be a great drama of a family in Hitchcock suspenseful way. Moreover I am astonished by the soundtract, it was used precisely and complemented whole story so well I could even call this musical. Besides I was laughing so much cause I found quite a lot scenes to be funny in inteligent way. Also I like some smart twists in the story, acctually whole the story is bunch of sensible twists: first twists between positive-negative characters, then name-place, then prime-minister-or-son drama. And lets add the great work of putting it across by inovative photography and Hitchcock's talent to maintain suspence and thrill through all the movie.
In general this film has great balance betveen suspence, action, drama, thriller, musical and comedy. Entertaining from begining till the very end.
