Review of The Man Who Knew Too Much (1934) by Andrew H — 14 May 2008
I always enjoyed this, just as I enjoyed Hitch's remake, but for different reasons--it's more straight-forward and wittier than the remake, not as glossy, and Best is a pretty cool heroine. It doesn't really delve into the emotional ramifications of the situation as deeply as the remake does, but it does end up feeling more action-oriented.
The scene in the church and the final shoot-out are very fun, and typical England-era Hitchcock.
