David Bowie is well cast as a sickly thin alien who is stranded on earth. Forced to integrate with humans, he discovers the pleasures of sex, alcohol and watching multiple TV screens at once! There are some nice touches in this film especially Newton's flashbacks of his home planet, wife and family.
